Solar Installation at 1 Fanshawe Street

Future Energy partnered with Roxy Pacific Investments to deliver a bespoke solar solution for their commercial property at 1 Fanshawe Street in Auckland’s CBD. With a strong commitment to sustainability and a close relationship with their tenants, Roxy Pacific saw an opportunity to reduce the building’s operational costs while significantly lowering its carbon footprint. This project reflects their long term vision of creating high performing, environmentally responsible buildings that benefit both owners and occupants.

The installation presented unique challenges due to the roof’s multi faceted design. To ensure the system would function efficiently and connect properly to the central inverter, all solar panels had to face the same direction. This required a carefully planned layout that took both energy generation and structural complexity into account. Seven full pallets of solar panels – each weighing approximately 700 kilograms – were craned onto the roof, requiring meticulous coordination and safety management.

Designing and implementing the electrical wiring added another layer of complexity. The team had to work around the angles and layout of the roof while still delivering a clean, safe, and high performing system. Despite the challenges, the Future Energy team successfully completed the installation, ensuring seamless integration with the building’s existing infrastructure.

Today, the solar system at 1 Fanshawe Street is helping offset energy consumption with clean, renewable power – contributing to ongoing cost savings and reducing environmental impact. This project showcases how thoughtful design and technical expertise can bring sustainability to even the most complex commercial environments.
