Safety is designed into the M-ELV. It runs at extra-low voltage (under 30V DC), so there’s no high-voltage DC in your home and no DC arc risk, and it uses stable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells. On top of that, smart sensors and thermal management watch for faults, while a weatherproof IP66 enclosure, an explosion-proof valve and automatic fire suppression add physical protection.
A DC-coupled battery wires into the solar DC side and usually needs a matching hybrid inverter. An AC-coupled battery connects on the AC side and works independently of your inverter, which is why it retrofits to almost any system.
