Best for: most standard homes, homeowners wanting an effective, affordable way to control condensation and dampness, and anyone after a set-and-forget system, with optional heat transfer and tempering add-ons.

The most energy-efficient option, and the best fit for modern, airtight homes. A balanced system uses two air streams: one fan brings filtered fresh air in from outside, while another extracts an equal volume of stale, humid air. As the two streams pass through a heat exchange core, up to 90% of the warmth in the outgoing air is recovered and used to pre-warm the incoming fresh air, so you ventilate without throwing your heating away.

Best for: new builds and well-insulated homes, and anyone who wants maximum comfort and efficiency. Pairs especially well with a ducted heat pump: a Mitsubishi Lossnay system can be linked to your heat pump so fresh air and climate control work together for a drier home that heats faster.

Yes. The Healthy Homes Standards require rental properties to have appropriate ventilation, including extraction fans that vent outside in rooms with a bath, shower or indoor cooktop. New builds must also meet the G4 Building Code, which sets minimum extraction for bathrooms and kitchens. Yes, and it works better when it does. A drier, well-ventilated home is easier to heat, so ventilation reduces the load on your heat pump. A Mitsubishi Lossnay heat recovery system can be linked directly to a Mitsubishi Electric ducted heat pump so the two run as one system. And because ventilation runs on electricity, pairing it with solar means your fresh air and climate control can run largely on your own power.

Modern systems are quiet. A Mitsubishi Lossnay unit runs from as low as 14dB, quieter than a whisper, and quality extractor fans are engineered for low noise.
