We’re excited to share another successful solar installation – this time in the beautiful coastal suburb of Mission Bay, Auckland. This residential project involved the seamless integration of advanced solar technology to help the homeowners reduce their reliance on the grid, lower their energy bills, and move toward a more sustainable future.
The system features 24 x 440W LONGi Solar panels, which together deliver a total capacity of 10.56 kW. LONGi panels are renowned for their high efficiency, durability, and strong performance in New Zealand’s diverse weather conditions, making them an excellent choice for residential solar solutions.
To complement the solar generation, we installed the new Tesla Powerwall 3 – the latest energy storage solution from Tesla Energy. The Powerwall 3 offers increased energy storage capacity and improved power output compared to previous models, allowing the homeowners to store excess solar energy generated during the day and use it during the evening or in the event of a grid outage.
With this system in place, the Mission Bay home can now significantly reduce electricity costs by maximising on site solar energy use. The addition of the Tesla Powerwall 3 increases energy independence, providing a reliable source of backup power while minimising reliance on the grid.
