At KFC East Tāmaki, a flagship restaurant known for its fried chicken and high volume operations, energy is in constant demand. Fryers, ovens, and refrigeration run around the clock, which meant the site needed a solar solution that could keep up while also supporting sustainability goals and reducing electricity costs.
Our team worked closely with Restaurant Brands to design a 42 panel solar system tailored to the restaurant’s needs. The installation was carefully planned to avoid disrupting daily operations, and today the panels generate clean, renewable energy throughout the day, helping offset a significant portion of the site’s electricity use and improving overall energy efficiency.
Beyond the immediate energy savings, the project contributes to KFC’s broader sustainability initiatives, providing a reliable, future proof solution for a busy commercial environment. The system works quietly in the background, supporting operational efficiency and helping the restaurant take meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future.
